He published extensively in academic and trade publications and has authored 14 books including Sustainable Residential Development (McGraw-Hill) and Town and Terraced Housing: For Affordability and Sustainability (Routledge). He is also a practicing architect and a planner and the recipient of many awards, including the Manning Innovation Award and the World Habitat Award.
