About the Author
Samuel S. Faulkner (MSW and PhD, University of Texas at Arlington) is social work professor at Morehead State University. Professor Faulkner completed his PhD in social work in 2001 after receiving two MS degrees; one in social work from the University of Texas at Arlington and the other in counseling education from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. His teaching interests include research, data analysis, and chemical dependency. Cynthia Faulkner (MSW, University of Kansas at Lawrence; PhD, University of Texas at Arlington) is social work professor at Morehead State University. She teaches BSW and MSW courses dealing with social work practice, field experience, human behavior, and policy. She has published in the Journal of Poverty and the College Student Journal, and is a member of the Council on Social Work Education and the Kentucky Association of Social Work Educators. Professor Faulkner has practiced social work for over twenty years in multiple settings and is a licensed clinical social worker.
